Migraines and head pain are the 5th leading reason that people visit the hospital emergency room. They are the 3rd leading reason for women in the age range of 15 to 64 to visit the emergency room. In a recent, over 6 million prescriptions were given out to care for migraine pain.
This can lead one to the conclusion that everyone is using pain medication to help relieve head pain. Those suffering just want immediate relief. While medication may seem to be the most available option, there is another way to care for migraines that has been providing natural, drug-free relief for many.
When the body produces pain, it is in response to something that is not right. In the case of head pain, it may be due to a misalignment in the bones of the upper neck. The C1 and C2 vertebrae are located at the base of the skull and are inclined to misalign as a result of a trip and fall, a blow to the head or neck, or a vehicle accident. But this is not the end of the story. This type of misalignment can be corrected.
Here at our Brentwood, Tennessee office, we use a gentle method referred to as NUCCA. After a thorough examination and taking specialized x-rays, we employ a low force correction to a precise area of the neck. This encourages the bones of the cervical spine to realign gently, rather than popping or twisting the spine. Our patients and those in case studies report seeing a dramatic difference in migraine symptoms. Some even see a total remission of migraines after as few as one or two adjustments.
